Description
The Mood Boost is an original design and is your answer for a no-nonsense booster to use with your favorite overdriven amplifier. It isn’t a clean boost, nor is it necessarily a treble boost. It juices up your amp’s gain and can even push your amp into a fuzz-like territory. This pedal incorporates a DC voltage doubler, meaning that whatever voltage you supply it will be doubled internally, leading to a higher headroom effect. The recommended DC input voltage range is 9-12V. Two versions are available: either a static 18V unit regardless of the 9-12V power source, or a “dynamic” variant which can exceed 18V depending on the DC input voltage (+12VDC IN yields a final internal voltage of approximately +24VDC).
Our version is buffered at the input, helping to minimize noise thanks to the inherent RF rejection within the buffer circuits. The pedal’s buffer is always on even when bypassed to ensure a strong signal path, as well as isolation from any pedals surrounding it.
